Those are the highlights of the last 30 years of the spruce impact! Who puts behind, how it was added?

Here you experience more about us and our kennel.

Dogs were with us always also from the begining. My parents and grandparents (of Bernd) had always a half-breed. A so-called wolf dog who became a family member stayed with usas our pet.

Beginning of 1972 we decided to buy this time a reinrassigen German shepherd dog!

Its name: Basko von der Regentalperle.

Our first German shepherd dog should became a protection and a family dog. A protection dog, because one tried briefly before with us to break in.

We decided that our new family member was to be trained as the protection dog, because its temper and its Wissbegierigkeit were very good. In Kronach there are two dog training places (sports association and VdH). After some Schnupperstunden with both associations, I decided for the shepherd dog association Kronach as my future association, which I have remained faithful to until today. None of our family suspected at that time that this decision would influence us and our association to this breed the way in which it has up to today.

With Basko we practiced industriously and we trained tirelessly with one goal in mind to steer his course into the protection dog examination.

In the meantime the interest to own a second dog became a ever more intense. It took however a bit of time to convince the family to do it but finally we purchased another dog. This dog’s name was Agge vom Kirschental, a daughter of the achievement winner of the yearly 1971, Racker vomItztal. We purchased her as a puppy and raised her as out new addition. This dog brought much joy to us all. Agge went on to win several large cup matches, exist the protection dog examination 3 several times with the total note excellently and participate in the regional committee elimination. Agge became a toy come alive for our children Anja and Marco. After all of my success with Agge, I thought it out a litttle further and anoher female I decided to buy. Her name was Blanka vom Arnetacker, and she was likewise a great success. She was trained by me and went on to lead in many matches.

In September 1973 I visited the for the first time the siegerschau in Munich olympia riding stadiums. The sight of these very beautiful dogs, fascinated me. I was inspired! The thought, the desire and the will were no longer loose thoughts in my mind but rather a very clear picture of what I wanted to accomplish. With these beautiful animals in this fantastic breed I wanted tp work with the strog nature in these dogs to make the most efficient German shepherd dogs. At the same time now the club members and many sport friends, I pushed me have nevertheless with Agge and Blanka the best conditions for it.

In the year 1974 (family planning with me and my Mrs. Evi was in the meantime final) then inevitably the next step took place in our dog life. The kennel vom Fichtenschlag by the sports association one recognized and one registered. Our kennel name resulted from the fact that on our property always has a spruce forest wich stands on it. My desire was a kennel name, which is closely connected with my homeland.

In the meantime I visited my first special exhibition with Basko. Basko was led naturally even by me and I was very pleased good over the note! In the year 1974 I could exist my first Koerungen with Agge and Blanka. From my first throw followed with Arras of the Eifel Cup winners. Several excellent and Koerklasse 1 dog, which were successfully led on matches and LG eliminations, carried the name into the 70iger year vom Fichtenschlag.

In the year 1979 I, from the mating Wicko vom Meran and Hefta vom Fichtenschlag, bred a Jonny Rheinhalle daughter, the vice-achievement winner of the yearly 1984, Jonn vom Fichtenschlag, which could achieve 100 points in the protection service during the federal winner examination in Bayreuth as an only dog and of Hans's Fiedler was very successfully led.

Into the 80’s we tried over our achievement-referred grey nut/mother line (witch Ollie Sarah) beautiful grey dogs to breed. Zasko (SG 56 youth class male 1985 in Hamburg) and Barry (SG 40 young dog class male 1987 in Duisburg) could achieve many class winners. Both were led also by our daughter Anja successfully with the regional committee youth championship in the protection dog examination 3. We were at that time very proud on these two Rueden.

One can call the year 1989 a crucial turning point in the breeding of vom Fichtenschlag. With a breed zuchtschau in Amberg a Amme was looked for. Three small puppies at the age of two days from the world-well-known kennel vom Wildsteiger Land came to us to Neuenreuth. None of us suspected at the time at that time that one of these three puppies will become Sandra vom Wildsteiger Land and the master mother of all of our current dogs.

Sandra was trained up to the protection dog examination 3, received the breed evaluation V and Koerklasse 1, like four further brothers and sisters from it.

Here a cordial thank-beautifully to the family Göbl for the hiring, because without Sandra it would not give the spruce impact in the current form again to this dog.

From the first throw of Sandra with Jeck vom Noricum, we bred our very good Vererberin, Linda vom Wildsteiger Land. The second throw, paired with Atlas von Bad Boll, the SG 4 male of the youth class male came out with the federal winner main breed bundessiegerhauptzuchtschau 1993 in Dortmund Zanto vom Fichtenschlag.

From Linda's first throw with cash vom Wildsteiger Land, we bred our Holly in March 1994. A success career began. Three times excellent selection with the vice-victory 1998 in Nuernberg, whereupon we all are proud.

In April 1997 Yonka (a daughter of Shantos Xano and Holly's first throw) saw the light of the world. Almost exclusively first places and the ninth place with the winner main breed siegerhauptzuchtschau 1998 in Nuernberg were the success balance in the youth class dogs 1998. The fifth place with the competition of group of breeds in Nuernberg was at the time our zuechterischer high point. 2000 crowned Yonka a successful year with excellent selection sieve in Bremen. 2001 fought for it on the federal winner main breed bundessiegerhauptzuchtschau in Duesseldorf the same title as its mother Holly, Vizesiegerin in the customs dog class dogs.

With Holly we bred altogether eight throws from those breedings we had 48 puppies. Of the 48 there were eight in Koerklasse 1 were angekoert. Two children (Yonka and Larissa) received the evaluation excellent selection and baby the placement V 15 in Ulm. In the meantime we have already very successful Holly grandchildren with Wilko, Yessica, Zaskia, Tirza and Amanda (grey dog).

From the second line over Sandra vom Wildsteiger Land comes of the V 5 dog to the winner main breed siegerhauptzuchtschau 2001, Guennie vom Fichtenschlag. Guennie leaves likewise over the average, with its daughter Carolin to before all.

Which successfully suggested itself in the last years, found in Duesseldorf 2001 a crowning conclusion. The group of breeds of the kennel of the spruce impact became world winner.

I on that, handed the kennel over to my son Marco as my successor.

I (Marco) cannot present a life without German shepherd dogs to me! Since my birth I have been surrounded by shepherd dogs. As a child I had great respect for the dogs. I went regularly to the dog place and helped my father when feeding, that was until 1985 and then became involved in everything and all aspects of the dogs.

I then received the joy of being able to train the dogs for the exhibitions. My first exhibition as leaders was the regional committee youth landesgruppen-Jugend-Schau Bavaria north 1987. I could reserve the first seat in each case with Rambo vom Fliederbusch and Hero vom Martelsberg. In the following years I was allowed to train industriously with the dogs and as a leader (before all with the winner main breed siegerhauptzuchtschau, my large dream) seemed however not yet suitable for me. This changed in the year 1993 in Dortmund. With the first dog which I was allowed to lead (Zanto vom Fichtenschlag) occupied I in the youth class male place four.

Subsequently, I began involved also with the training of the dogs. The first dog, that was trained by me and had the examination, Koerung and to the winner of protection was Holly. Which we reached in our first attempt . We did not think we would accomplish so much at the beginning of the training.

In the following years I trained and to the examination led nearly all our dogs. The examinations and exhibition success of our three VA dogs Holly, Yonka and Larissa makes me proud. Here we would however to take the opportunity to thank our friend Wolfgang Haßgall which developed all our dogs in the protection service and for the Koerungen and the protection service with the winner looking prepared.

Our goal was from the outset was to breed beautiful healthy German Shepherd Dogs with good Temperment. We put much value on the nature and the social behavior of our dogs.

We hope we have given you a small view of our life and our dogs. How we came to be and where we are going to continue to head into the future.

Finally we would like to thank all of you who supported us over the last 30 years with in all of our work and efforts. We are proud of the fact that we have so many genuine friends in our team and we want you to know that without our crew these successes would not have been possible.

Thank you to all, before all to our families!

Bernd and Marco Oßmann
